Sand and Gravel Operations

Issues and Challenges:

Approaches and Methods:

Biostar-CH liquid along with the Floc 500 treatment bags were used to treat the highly turbid sand and gravel wash-water. The suspended solids in the wash-water settled out in a series of on-site holding basins allowing for the recirculation and re-use of the water resulting in reduced groundwater consumption and improved impact on the environment.
